Job Responsibilities

An Executive Protection professional in a high net-worth family is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and peace of mind of the principal and their family members at all times. This role involves conducting thorough risk assessments, planning secure travel routes, and maintaining constant situational awareness to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. The Executive Protection agent coordinates closely with household staff, drivers, and external security teams to implement and maintain comprehensive security protocols both at the residence and during travel, including domestic and international trips. Responsibilities also include monitoring surveillance systems, managing access control, and responding swiftly and effectively to emergencies or unexpected situations. The agent may also be tasked with securing event venues, conducting advance site visits, and providing discreet yet visible protection during public appearances. A high level of discretion, professionalism, and physical fitness is essential, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. This role requires a deep understanding of protective strategies, defensive driving, and emergency response, all while maintaining a respectful and service-oriented approach within a private family environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate for this Executive Protection role will have a minimum of 5–10 years of experience in personal security, law enforcement, military service, or private executive protection, preferably within high-net-worth or high-profile environments. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required, along with advanced defensive and evasive driving skills. Candidates must possess strong situational awareness, excellent judgment, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. Formal training and certification in executive protection, threat assessment, and emergency response (such as CPR, AED, and first aid) are essential.

Discretion, professionalism, and a high level of physical fitness are critical, as the role involves long hours, travel, and the ability to respond swiftly to dynamic situations. The candidate must be comfortable working in both high-visibility and low-profile settings, maintaining a protective presence without disrupting the family’s lifestyle. Experience with surveillance systems, access control, and security technology is highly desirable. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and international travel, is a must. A thorough background check, drug screening, and possibly psychological evaluation will be required. Multilingual abilities and familiarity with local and international security protocols are considered strong assets.

A remuneration and benefits package, commensurate with experience and qualifications will beoffered to the successful candidates.
