Butler / Service Captain
Job Responsibilities
Lead formal and informal service, including table settings, beverage/cellar care, and event sequencing. Oversee guest communications, coat/bag management, and discreet problem-solving during functions. Maintain silver, china, crystal, and inventory of service wares to impeccable standards. Coordinate with chef and housekeeping to ensure timing, presentation, and flow. Train junior staff in service etiquette and guest-relations best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
5+ years in formal service roles (butler, captain, luxury hospitality). Expertise in table service styles, wine service, and etiquette protocols. Composed, anticipatory, and guest-centric with excellent communication skills. Strong organizational habits and immaculate personal presentation. Ability to stand for long periods and lift service trays safely.
